Hi Lawrence - so you have witnessed the philippine's traffic and filipino drivers skills, lol, now that you experience the provincial ones I doubt if you can believe or handle the traffic situation in Manila, the ones in Cebu or in Leyte are nothing to compare the ones at Manila, the filipino drivers skills and the fighting spirit of survival in a cramed city like in Manila continues to amazes me and admire them also. I am a little bit envious coz you've been to some places in Leyte where I've never been before for examples the farm (or piliapil) I grow up in Makati and been to Leyte some point in my lie but never set foot at pilapil, and also at Bay Bay, I only just past drive through there last year and I thought that place is a dead zone lol, I didn't see any pharmacy, traffic light or any of that sorts, I know that Jollibee was still on construction while I was there last year, it really makes me wonder why they call Bay Bay a city when almost nothing is there, lol. While Hilongos (where the peir is) is much more advance and have more shops compare to Bay Bay. I have to say that Hindang hasn't change much since when I used to live there for a year to study (the college opposite to the Chruch) except that it now getting over popullated and houses is now becoming cramped on top of each other, sad thing for me really as the community had no infrastructure plans for the future, I saw sewerage everywhere and also houses are now fenced off I still dont know the reason why. Asides from that I have to say that attitudes of the provincial people hasn't change a thing and that's the wonder of it, they are still very friendly and willing to help at any time.

You mentioned about the american man who owned the house at the beach, I wonder what has happened to this couple as she is still very young and him over 60 (from what I've been told) I didn't really actually met the man but I've met her as she is a good friend of Marian, I guess everything that he founded over there are in the name of the wife. There also a German man married with a pilipina that live there too, they are just neighbour with the american man, kinda good love storyfor me between this american man and the german man lol...

Yeah I think a vacation is always a learning experience for all of us. You will see a lot of odd things and maybe strange things for you but the locals lived with it and it's a part of their everyday life.
