Thanks Brian for the vote of reasurance. Maybe I can still save face with my fiance :lol She said she will teach me the language. Our plan is to use the language in our home instead of english and when I don't understand what she said she will explain it in english for me until I pick it up in Tagalog. I told her I wanted to learn the language so when we go back to New Zealand where her family is now that I can talk to her parents and family in there native tongue. She said that it was not nessary for me to learn it because they speak english anyways but that they would be very impressed with me if I could speck it. I figure to that I would not be left out of the conversion when they started to talk in Tagalog when I was around ( you know those mother and daughter talks that us men are not suppose to hear) :rollin .....

Anyways I have a Tagalog dictionary and CD's as well as online links to web sites, as well as being able to talk to my future asawa all the time. So maybe it will not take to long.
